PLCopen blocks

The PLCopen blocks are standard →function blocks based on the technical specification "TC5 - Safety, Version 2.01 – Official Release, Part 1 - Concepts and Function blocks" (© PLCopen).

The function blocks for safety-related applications standardized in PLCopen simplify the creation of safety applications. The function blocks are certified and thus save time and reduce costs in all phases of the lifecycle of a safety application. Starting with the specification, through implementation to testing and checking of the functions, the procedure is more like virtual wiring than programming. Unlike "real wiring", downloading the program to the safety controller guarantees that an identical copy will be stored. Wiring errors in series production are thus excluded. Of course, all the possibilities of a safety controller are available for solving more complex challenges that can no longer be solved with "real wiring".

The project within the project explorer contains the folder PLCopen Safety listing all supported PLCopen blocks.
Do not manipulate the folder and its contents! If you do nevertheless, Neuron Power Engineer does not find the library or the blocks any longer.

The folder PLCopen Safety containing the PLCopen blocks is not provided in all variants of Neuron Power Engineer.
